West Harbour Veterinary Clinic have been part of the landscape of West Harbour for the last 30 years and was originally started as a small branch clinic in 1985 by Bruce Waldock. Since then, we have grown into a modern and busy two vet clinic for small companion animals. In 2017, West Harbour Vet Clinic joined the Pet Doctors family as their exciting, newest addition.

We pride ourselves in being a friendly, caring and compassionate team offering quality and up to date veterinary care for your pets.

Bruce and Ee bring over 50 years of combined veterinary experience when it comes to looking after your pets. They also strive to keep up to date with the latest treatment options and techniques by routinely attending conferences and seminars.

Our modern clinic is well equipped to serve your pets’ needs. We have a range of diagnostic equipment as well as intravenous fluid pumps, blood pressure monitoring, ECG machine and pulse oximetry to enable us to diagnose and treat your pets’ medical conditions. We have a comprehensive pharmacy and have access to a wide range of treatment options for your animals if required.

We are also fortunate to have a team of dedicated, caring, compassionate and trained nurses who are driven to provide the best care for your pets if they are required to stay in hospital.

Team Leader & Veterinarian Nurse

Sarah has worked in the vet industry since 1999 and gained her National Certificate of Veterinary Nursing from Auckland University of Technology. She is originally from England and emigrated to New Zealand when she was very young. Sarah enjoys all aspects of working in the practice especially interacting with clients and their pets.

She has 2 crazy Griffons named Sadie & Roxy and an elderly, deaf cat named Ebony. Though Sarah has worked in the vet industry since she was 19-years-old, you won't catch her anywhere near snails as she has a phobia of them!

Veterinarian Nurse

Jessica was born and breed in Australia and moved to New Zealand in 2008 after being swept off her feet by a kiwi bloke whom she is now married to. Jessica graduated from Unitec in 2012 with a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing and worked for 2 and a half years at a mixed animal practice in Manawatu. She enjoys giving her patients extra TLC while in her care and working alongside an incredible team to get the best possible outcome for a situation.

Jessica has 2 pets; a medium sized mixed breed dog named Maggie who can be quite high maintenance, and a bossy cat called Frank who runs the household. In her spare time she loves spending time with her beautiful cheeky son, and getting involved in fun runs and exercise classes.

Veterinarian Nurse

Before becoming a veterinary nurse, Samantha spent many years involved in running a busy Auckland cattery. She took some time off to experience the world with a trip across the USA before coming back to New Zealand and studying towards a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing from Wintec in 2015. Samantha's favourite part about working as a vet nurse is the chance to make a difference in the life of pets and their owners.

Always the adventurer, one day Samantha would love to live and work somewhere else in the world!

Veterinarian Nurse

Krystyna has a Level 5 Certificate in Veterinary Nursing and managed the West Auckland Dog Kennel before her time with Pet Doctors. She worked with fear aggressive and anti-social dogs so they can find their forever home. Krystyna enjoys how each day is so different and working with the awesome team. Her special interests include canine behaviour and surgical nursing.

Krystyna has a rescue pet named Holly who was an ex chain dog. You won't be seeing Krystyna anywhere near the circus though as she's scared of clowns!

Veterinarian Nurse

Before joining Pet Doctors, Sian worked in Taupo for 5 years then went travelling around Europe. She lived in the UK for 2 years working as a locum nurse in London, Glasgow and Bristol. Sian enjoys all aspects of her role but has a special interest in surgery and dog behaviour.

Sian does not currently have any pets but does live with 6 cats and 2 dogs who love long walks on the beach. Fun fact; she is terrified of ghosts!
