They are able to provide a range of vet services including de-sexing, dental care and emergency treatment.
Pet Doctors’ Vets and Vet Nurses share your passion for pets, because your pets, our patients, are our world. We’re dedicated to making that world happier and healthier.
We will always put your pets health and well-being first and are very fortunate to work alongside a bunch of the most dedicated vets, vet nurses and customer care people in the country.
The expertise, equipment and high level of staff training that is available ensures that this is the only place we want to work. We are proud of our pain-free policy that ensures that all pets go home post-operatively with long acting pain relief.

Jasmin has come to Pet Doctors Waihi after graduating Sydney Unversity in 2012. She then worked in a mixed animal practice in rural New South Wales before moving to Matamata. In 2017, Jasmin completed a three year study in theriogeneology (animal reproduction) and became a diplomate of the American College.
Jasmin has a special clinical interest in all areas of reproduction & breeding in all species, particularly cattle, dogs & horses.
Interesting fact about Jasmin, is that she was born in Hong Kong before moving to Sydney when she was a child. She has a black rescue cat named Sherlock and Flash, the 10-year-old Border Collie - she certainly has a soft spot for Border Collies!
Asse has been with Pet Doctors Waihi since 1997 back when it was a 3 vets & support 2 team practice. She was initially only involved with small and large animals but has now become more involved with household pets although she still deals with farm animals after hours.
Asse's job involves dealing with a multitude of problems and species. She says it's like trying to solve a puzzle in 15 minutes as efficient and effective as possible. Some puzzles are easy and require very few pieces but some turn out to be large complicated ones. She is very grateful for owners that let her do her job as it certainly makes it easier on their pets.
Asse is an animal lover at home too and has 7 cats, a dog and chickens.
Stephanie graduated from Massey Uni in 2011 before starting at Pet Doctors Waihi in 2012. She loves getting to see a wide variety of animals working as a mixed animal vet from cows to Alpacas to cats & dogs! She loves getting out and about and still getting her surgery fix.
Stephanie has a fox terrier named Gimil who was adopted from someone at the clinic who was looking for a home for him. She also has 2 ginger boys; Atticus and Gulliver who both tiny feral kittens at work but now both prefer her husband to her.
Sandra has come to us after spending 12 years working in the building, banking & farming industries in Waihi, but has always had a passion for animals and helping people & their pets. Sandra hopes that in her role with Pet Doctors Waihi she can educate owners on animal nutrition, while also endeavoring to complete her Certificate in Animal Care with Otago Polytechnic.
Pets are also present in Sandra's personal life and she owns an intelligent black & white border collie called AC, and 2 cats; lazy Mezzy, who was found in a barn, and crazy Muffey. Her pets make up her family along with her 2 children and her husband. In her spare time, she loves playing netball, going to concerts and riding motorbikes which she's done so since she was a child.
Before joining Pet Doctors Waihi, Ashleigh was a stay at home mother and studied a certificate for 3 years via correspondence. She enjoys all the lovely creatures that come into work but also loves the customer interaction. She's always trying to make them smile.
Ashleigh has 2 cats; Narla who is 15-years-old and 14-year-old Nudys. She has 3 children and is a fan of speedway and anything that involves loud and fast cars. Ashleigh has a soft spot for birds and often takes home fledglings and raises them.

Debbie has been working with Pet Doctors Waihi for 14 years when the clinic was still Wahi Veterinary Services. She loves interacting with clients & helping with animals and caring for them with passion - grooming especially! She particularly enjoys caring for in-hospital patients.
Debbie has one dog named Carlee and is a self-confessed cat hoarder. You won't believe how many she has nor does her husband. She is involved with speedway and her husband races a saloon car. Debbie is afraid of fantails!
Before joining Pet Doctors, Nicole was living in New Plymouth with her partner and working in a large animal practice. She enjoys how varied the role is and how two days are never the same. The best part of Nicole's job is seeing critically ill patients recover and go home to their families.
Nicole has two cats - Ginny who is a naughty Torti who was bought into her last clinic after being found on the road as a kitten in another town by backpackers and Ollie, her treat obsessed Scottish fold who likes to share the pillow at night.
Before joining Pet Doctors Waihi she spent several years working at vets in Hamilton and Thames. Kerry loves the variance of the job and never knowing what can come through her door. She very much enjoys the surgery side of nursing.
Kerry has 4 pets; Maxine who is a 14-year-old Huntaway, Didi the crazy Border Collie/Labrador with Addisons disease, Baxter the spoilt Ragdoll cat who rules the house and Noogie, the goat.
Your pets, our patients, are our world.
We're dedicated to making that world happier and healthier.
