Veterinarian - BVSc
Born in California, Matt came to NZ in 2007 and graduated from Massey University in 2013. Matt spent time working in the Kapiti area before joining Pet Doctors.
Matt and his partner have a 3 legged Rottweiler cross, Nika, 7 y/o. Nika had her front leg removed due to a cancerous tumour, rest assured this has not slowed her down too much and she can still chase cats out of her yard.
Prior to veterinary school, Matt owned a pet sitting and dog walking business which was fun, he enjoyed being outdoors, but doesn’t miss the damage and smell to his vehicle.
Veterinarian - BVSc, CertVA
Lorna gained her Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 1990 in the UK and has since worked in mixed and small animal practices in South Africa & Australia. She enjoys surgery and the challenge of reconstruction after an injury or tumour removal. Lorna has further expanded her passion for surgery by studying a Certificate in Veterinary Anesthesia.
Lorna has several pets including a black Russian Terrier named Merlin, 2 cats named Beauty and Emerald, Widget the dwarf rabbit and 4 chickens. Surprisingly, Lorna is allergic to loads of animals! She was advised to change courses halfway through her vet studies but clearly, and (lucky for us!) did not take the advice.
