VETERINARIAN - BVSc
Sophia graduated from Massey University in 2013, having grown up on farms in NZ she enjoyed helping with the animals and any abandoned or injured wildlife found. Her desire to become a Vet started early with an initial thought to work with large animals her passion moved to work with companion animals.
Sophia enjoys the challenges her work brings with a focus to offer owners the best standard of care and welfare for pets to remain healthy and happy at home with their family.
At home she and her husband live on a lifestyle block with Atlas the Bengal cat, who rules the house and her Border Terrier who is a sweetie following her everywhere including timeout to feed her numerous sheep and oversee the collection of eggs from her free range chickens.
Sophia and her husband keep a busy and active life with two boys and enjoy camping during the summer.
VETERINARY NURSE CVN
Julie graduated from Vet Nurse Plus in 2013 with a Certificate in Veterinary Nursing. Before this Julie went on her OE adventure living in London and travelling through Europe.
Julie is greatly rewarded in her role particularly looking after those sick patients that recover so well.
At home Julie has a little darling, Jack, 4 y/o Jack Russell cross Border Terrier and black and white cat Bubble who came as a stray in the first week on the job.
Julie loves the outdoors including bush walking and spending time with her family. Her favourite place to go is the family batch at Port Charles in the beautiful Coromandel.
VETERINARY NURSE CVN
Jess joined Pet Doctors from graduating at Vet Nurse Plus in 2012 with a Certificate in Veterinary Nursing.
Jess enjoys her nursing role and finds it very rewarding watching sick or injured patients progress back to good health.
At home Jess has a 17 y/o Blue Heeler named Missy and her 16 y/o grey cat Smokey.
Jess is a registered stablehand in a harness racing stable and loves being around horses.
