VETERINARIAN - BVSc
Allen graduated in 2010 from Massey. He spent 4 years at the Wellington SPCA where he worked with private client animals, shelter animals and welfare cases. Allen moved to Auckland with his 3 cats to take on the new challenge for exotic pet medicine & surgery. Allen enjoys all sports and activities, with a focused interest in basketball.
Veterinarian Nurse - DVN
Hayley holds a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing and a Certificate in Captive Wild Animals. She owns 5 Cats, Tigger, Isabella, hand-reared Zac and Elfy and previous clinic rescue kitten Aiya. She also fosters rescue kittens (and once a baby rabbit) that come into the clinic and as such she often has any number of kittens until they get a home. Hayley also has a tank full of tropical fish. In her spare time she enjoys reading, going to the movies and spending time with friends, family and her cats. Hayley enjoys learning about animal behaviour including body language, natural behaviours and training in many species. She also has a keen interest in all wild animals, particularly African Wildlife. Last year she spent 2 months in South Africa volunteering with a wildlife vet and at a rhino orphanage. She has previously spent time at Hamilton Zoo and qualified as a zookeeper.
Vet Nurse - DVN
Bianca is a Diploma Vet Nurse and has been with Pet Doctors since 2007. Her special interests are birds and exotics and she loves giving our clients advice on their pets husbandry and environmental enrichment. In her spare time Bianca loves walking her two dogs, teaching her birds new tricks and considers any time spent outside to be well spent.
Veterinarian Nurse
Before Tyran joined Pet Doctors St Lukes, he worked in a lab in Palmerston North. After moving to Auckland, he dabbled in TV and as a swimming instructor before focusing on a career as a vet nurse. Tyran enjoys the surgery aspect of veterinary practice as well as having a keen interest in animal behaviour and communication.
Tyrann owns a Tortoiseshell cat name Von Swaggerstein who only has three feet. A fun fact about Tyran is that he's currently training to become a stuntman!
Veterinarian Nurse
Shondell is our senior cat and dog nurse who joined the team in 2016 after working full time at an after-hours emergency clinic in Australia. She has always had a love of exotic pets and is enjoying taking her knowledge of cats, dogs and emergency nursing and expanding it with a world of exotic medicine.
She currently has just the one pet, a betta fish “Detective Jake Peralta” who came to the clinic needing a new home. In her spare time Shondell can be found travelling the world and around the country, bush walking, practicing acrobatic yoga, swimming at the beach, volunteering at animal sanctuaries and relaxing at home teaching herself a new skill (water colour painting, learning Dutch etc)."
Sarah - Client Relations
Sarah joined Pet Doctors St Lukes as part of their clients relations team after spending 5 years living in England and travelling Europe with her partner Tom. She enjoys providing excellent customer service to both people and pets which is very rewarding.
A lover of animals from a young age, Sarah has owned many pets from fish, birds, frogs and rabbits, but now she owns a Belgian German Tervuren named Wilson. In her free time, you can find Sarah travelling and bush walking.
