Veterinarian - BVSc
Hi there, my name is Brendon Bullen and I joined the Kelburn team in 2012 after spending the previous 6 years working as a companion animal veterinarian in NZ and the UK. I have well and truly settled in to Wellington, and I've loved getting to know the patients and clients at Kelburn. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary science, with a special interest in surgery and dentistry. As well as looking after feline and canine patients, I also run a referral service for rabbits, birds and other exotic pets.
My passion is for native wildlife, and I assist with Zealandia’s breeding programs of kaka and hihi in my spare time. In my holidays I enjoy skiing and spending time travelling around the country with my partner, Mel.
Veterinarian - BVSc
After graduating from Massey University in 1999 Angela spent a couple of years in mixed practice. A move to London meant an increased focus on small animal practice, after 7 years overseas she has enjoyed returning to her home town of Wellington.
Joining Pet Doctors has allowed Angela to continue her special interest in ‘small furries’ such as rabbits and guinea pigs.
At home she has several pets, Boswell, the old dog with one eye, Pirate the cat who coincidentally also has one eye, Lily the rabbit, goldfish and 50,000 bees, and 3 children.
Angela and her husband live near the beach with their 3 children who are all at primary school plus enjoy skiing in the winter.
Veterinarian Nurse
Hi, my name is Samantha Hector and I have been working as a Veterinary Nurse since 2012. I am passionate about companion animal nursing and wildlife nursing. I'm from Southland and recently moved to Wellington to explore new opportunities. I joined the team at Kelburn in 2016 and have really enjoyed my time with the wonderful staff and the amazing clients.
In my free time I like to read, listen to music and spoil my 3 gorgeous cats Batman and Harley Quinn and Kyle.
Veterinarian Nurse - CVN
Emma graduated Otago Polytech with a Certificate in Veterinary Nursing in 2012. She later went on to complete my National Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in 2015 and before working in our Kelburn clinic spent some time at Pet Doctors in Dunedin.
She enjoys surgical nursing and has a special interest in anaesthesia. She is enjoying working more with exotics, especially the increased work with rabbits and guinea pigs.
Emma has one cat called Balto, a domestic long hair that she rescued when Balto was a kitten. She’s very fluffy and spends most of her time indoors sleeping and not contributing anything to the household.
Veterinary Nurse
Hi my name is Amanda, I’ve been working in Wellington as a vet nurse since 2013. I joined Pet Doctors early 2015 after a year travelling all over America on a student exchange program. I now live on a lifestyle block with my husband and our busy hunterway cross kelpie named Hunter who can’t get enough of his toys!
Your pets, our patients, are our world.
We're dedicated to making that world happier and healthier.
