Veterinarian Nurse - CVN
Bex completed her Certificate in Veterinary Nursing at Christchurch Polytechnic in 2004. She has been with us since 2005. She is very passionate about excellent nursing care, fluid therapy, anaesthetic monitoring and protocols.
She is in charge of keeping the nurses training up to date and is our zone co-ordinater for our inpatients, taking extra special care of your animals while they stay in hospital.
At home Bex has two cats, one lovely boy Mr Cookie who is enjoying his senior years and her other boy Harry who is a bit timid as he had a rough start to life. He is quickly blossoming into a loving, very quirky and extremely handsome boy. Rebecca also has an ex-racing greyhound called Jax who was originally their foster dog from Greyhounds As Pets. Obviously he won over Bex and her partner Andy with his loving nature and hilarious antics, so he stayed. He also holds the title around the Clinic as being ""The wussiest dog ever!"" Sshh Dont tell Bex! =)
Laura completed the Animal Care course at CPIT in 2008 and then qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2009. Her and her partner are kept busy at home with their 3 cats - Huskey the Manx, Gary the Maine Coon and Johnny the 3 legged cat. As well their big baby, Bentley the Bullmastiff.
At Pet Doctors she really enjoys being part of an amazing team, being able to have a good mixture of client relations and surgery, and loves learning new things everyday!
Veronica completed her Veterinary Nursing and Canine Behaviour qualifications at Christchurch Polytechnic in 2012. Soon after graduating she was lucky enough to be offered employment at Pet Doctors Harewood and hasn't looked back!
Veronica enjoys being a part of such a dedicated team and finds the work we do everyday rewarding. She loves the opportunity to learn new things and is keen to increase her abilities and skills by accessing further training as it becomes available.
Veronica loves the outdoors, traveling, wining and dining and spending time with her partner, friends and family. Pictured with her is her beloved boy Rza who was sadly lost in 2014.

Roberta completed her Certificate of Veterinary Nursing at CPIT in 2014. She had been working in Education Administration both in NZ and overseas however, while volunteering at the SPCA she realised that working with animals was her passion and made a big career change. She is really enjoying her new role, loves the variety that everyday brings and getting to spend time with all the animals. She has a very spoilt cat called Max.
Olivia was bought up on a family farm in North Canterbury and this is where her passion for animals came from. She finished her diploma in veterinary nursing in 2017 and has been working as a vet nurse before joining the Pet Doctors team. Olivia enjoys being a hospital nurse and providing awesome patient care. She also enjoys learning about surgery and anaesthesia.
Olivia has Bailey the Golden Lab who loved to hang out with Timmy & Tody the two British short hairs. In her spare time, Olivia loves to compete in grass karting and has recently won the womans national title for the second year in a row.
Gill has spent the last 20 years in corporate roles ranging from tellers to bank managers, all with a people focus. She loves that this role combines many of her passions; animals, people and making things easier.
Before having children, Gill spent all her time showing for breed obedience & agility as a trainer and secretary for the South Canterbury Obedience Club. Since their grown children have left home, Gill and her husband have spent their time breeding Labradors and Golden Retrievers. Together they own a few cattle, sheep & lambs, 3 Labs, 3 Golden Retrievers and a really confused cat. What a family!
