Our Flagstaff clinic opened its doors in 1996 and provides vet care for your pet in the northern suburbs of Hamilton. The team are focused on providing the best care possible for your pet. We are able to provide a range of vet services including desexing and dental care.
Dr Monique Woods, Dr Yvette Winter, Dr Pippa Johnston and Dr Rebecca Coote are our wonderful, caring vets at Flagstaff, and will do their upmost to give you and your pet the best care possible. Eve, Amanda, Frankie and Allysha are right behind them with dedicated nursing care. We target the area of northern Hamilton.

Monique has come to Pet Doctors Flagstaff after 10 years in the vet industry. She worked in the UK for 2 years and travelled around Europe, Africa and trekked in Nepal. She enjoys all aspects of being a vet, particularly enjoys dealing with cats. Monique loves her job because she loves making sure she's giving animals the best possible life.
In her spare time, Monique likes spending time with family & friends and restoring her house. She has a cat called Rooney who thinks he is a dog. He loves being the only pet and getting all the attention so they are not adding to the pet family anytime soon!
Veterinarian - BVSc
Pippa was raised in Waikato but briefly lived and studied in Palmerston for 5 years. She then returned to Hamilton and worked as a small animal vet for the past 4 years. Pippa enjoys building relationships with clients and pets and her special interests include dermatology and surgery.
Pippa has a 13 year old Labrador who still enjoys swimming and chasing a tennis ball. She also has Juno is a 7 year old rescue dog who she met and adopted in her first few weeks of working after graduating. Pippa enjoys travelling, sewing and swimming.
Veterinarian - Flagstaff
Rebecca graduated from Massey University in 2008. She has been part of the Hamilton Pet Doctors team since November and is now based with us at Flagstaff as of July 2019. She previously worked with Pet Doctors in Auckland and moved to the Waikato with her family late last year.
Rebecca enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and previously worked as the primary care vet for Guide Dogs and Customs Detector dogs. She has a passion for dentistry, surgery and medicine. Rebecca said “The Pet Doctors Flagstaff team is a lovely team to be working with and I'm really enjoying getting to know the clients and their beautiful pets.”
Rebecca loves the outdoors whether it is walking the dogs, going on a bush walk or playing at the park with the family.
Veterinarian Nurse and Team Leader
Eve is the Vet Nurse and Team Leader at the Pet Doctors Flagstaff, bringing with her over 15 years' experience and working at the clinic for 5 years. Eve is dedicated to providing pets with a high level of care and ensure that best care principles are followed. Outisde of work, Eve has two cats that keep her company. Eve will be more than willing to assist you with any questions you have in regards to both vet care and products for your pets. Ask for Eve at your next visit to Pet Doctors Flagstaff.
VETERINARY NURSE - BSc(Zoo), DVN
Amanda has completed a Bachelor's degree in ecology & zoology, as well as achieving a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. She has worked in the field since 2013 and thoroughly enjoys working with pets & clients alike! Amanda's has a weak spot for fostering kittens and her two adorable cats, Claus & Nizzy, were former foster fur-babies! Allysha, a Hamilton local graduated from Wintec with a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing 2016.
Allysha is dedicated to continuing her education, enjoys being able to educate owners and has a special interest in surgical and clinical nursing.
Allysha loves spending time with family and friends, snowboarding and getting away to spend time at the beach and on the boat for a little fishing.
